Welcome back to the 2017 academic year. We hope you and your families enjoyed a restful break and are ready for an exciting year ahead.
The first week of school is all about helping learners become familiar with their new classes and teachers and getting them back into the routine of studying.
The secret to success for teachers is in the planning. Developing a bond with learners, creating rules and expectations and having a strategy to help learners become driven to learn. Developing good relationships with parents is also vital in limiting the amount of turmoil faced during the school year.
We have some exciting developments that we will share with you during the year. All these ventures are to provide you with a ‘one-stop-shop’ for your educational requirements. We look forward to providing you with regular updates, news and information. 2017 is going to be a great year at E-Classroom!
New content development
This year we will be developing Grade R-7 English FAL and Afrikaans HL. We will also be adding more senior phase + FET subjects to the website as well as mock exam papers. We have an excellent team on board who have listened to your requests and are working hard to ensure these are completed soonest. Please keep checking the website for new developments.
As our users have increased exponentially (generating over 14 million page views last year) and the demand for support content continues to grow, we have had to upgrade our hosting servers and employ additional staff to meet our constantly expanding website. We feel a nominal administration fee of R 30.00 annually won’t be too hard on the pocket and will thus ensure that every-one has the same opportunity to access our high-quality resources. After all, it is the same price as of a cup of coffee! This small fee will also help us generate and keep providing the exceptional educational content for our users. We hope you will support our decision to do this and hope to keep you on board as a member. Your support is much appreciated.
SACE accredited courses for teachers
Our Maths courses are now on line for teachers from Grades 1-12. Please visit www.trainingteachers.org.za. The courses are for teachers who would like to improve their subject knowledge of Fractions, Decimals and Percentages. The three courses are worth 15 CPD points.

“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.”
