Welcome to our October newsletter which includes our exam revision papers link and our SACE ACCREDITED COURSES WE HAVE ON OFFER FOR 2017.
As exams approach, it is always a harrowing time of the year. This can lead to extreme stress for children. Stress can affect children in many ways. They may become irritable, angry or emotional. Some children may experience nausea, stomach upsets, skin breakouts, a negative attitude or back or chest pain. When someone is faced with stress, the body can go into ‘flight’ or ‘fight’ syndrome which releases increased amounts of adrenalin into the body. If there aren’t ways to manage the stress, it can have negative results which may affect a child’s marks, or over the long term, they may experience physical health issues like digestive problems or mental health issues like anxiety or depression.
One of the best things parents can do if their child is experiencing exam stress, is to try to be as supportive and tolerant as possible. Help your child find useful study habits, encourage healthy eating, exercise and sleeping habits.
Our Grade 7 MOCK PAPERS ARE ONLINE. These have been written by teachers and have memos for self-marking. These can be found under the ‘Revision’ section for Grade 7 Mathematics. Click here for direct access.
Our interactive maths and science revision papers also provide a platform for learners to practice their knowledge and receive immediate results. Learners can work at their own pace and the instant feedback lets them know exactly what subject areas they’re good at, and what still needs a bit of attention. These are available from our mobi-site as well as the Google Play Store and AppStore. Click below to find out more:
SACE ACCREDITED MATHS COURSES
We are excited to launch our PETS (Professional Educator Training in Schools) SACE ACCREDITED Maths courses. These courses have been developed using technology to improve teacher’s subject knowledge of Fractions, Decimals and Percentages – designed and created for teachers, by teachers and with teachers, tested in the classroom and configured especially for e-learning. These courses are for all teachers at any level from Grade 1-12 who feel they would like to improve their subject knowledge and teaching of Fractions, Decimals and Percentages. The three courses are worth 15 CPD points.
Remember, every teacher has to accumulate 150 CPD points over a three-year cycle. Points can be carried over from one cycle to the next.
